So you've recently measured yourself using one of our Confident Tiger bra measuring tapes, and found your bra size, but it still doesn't feel quite right. Have you considered your bra sister size?
Bra sister sizing refers to the practice of finding a bra with a different band size and cup volume that fits the same breast size. For example, a 32H bra and a 34GG bra have the same cup volume, but the 34GG bra has a larger band size. This means that someone who usually wears a 32H could potentially also wear a 34GG, depending on their specific body shape and preferences.
You might consider wearing your bra sister size in a few different situations:
-
You are having trouble finding a bra in your exact size: If you are having trouble finding a bra that fits well in your usual size, trying a sister size can be a good option. It's important to note, however, that sister sizing isn't a perfect solution and may not work for everyone.
-
You find that your bra size varies depending on the brand or style: Different bra brands and styles can fit differently, so if you find that your usual size doesn't fit well in a particular brand or style, trying a sister size might be worth considering.
-
You want a looser or tighter band: If you prefer a looser or tighter band than what is available in your usual size, trying a sister size with a different band size can be an option. Keep in mind, however, that changing the band size can also affect how the cups fit and provide support.
However, it's important to note that sister sizing isn't a perfect solution, as changing the band size can also affect how the cups fit and provide support.
It's still important to try our bra size calculator and start with the size suggested, especially in Confident Tiger bras as they have been designed inline with our bra size calculator.
